Yes yes I know Marmion is a spirit inhabiting a particularly fancy cowboy revolver but just go with it. The Gun spirits all exist in the Lodge! They must have some kind of body in there!! And if they don’t, well, then just get weird with it, I’m game for absolutely anything here. (Hell, bring in another Agent that Marmion is possessing like it did with Knoll, if you’d like. It’s all good!!)

The relationship between these two in the book is super fascinating – they hate each other, and they very much need each other too, and they’re both terrible people(monsters/physical manifestations of uh, destructive freedom I guess) who are way too similar to each other for comfort. I love that! And also yes I do love that it’s basically an eldritch cowboy and the elder god possessing his gun and giving him powers. Let them fuck!!

Attitude: Victim Fights Back... Unsuccessfully – how do you fight back against something that’s in your head and/or some metaphysical representation of a hunting lodge, anyway???

Motive: Aggressor has no concept of consent/understanding of morality – the spirits of the Gun are so deeply inhuman that it sometimes loops right back around to touching base humanity…in the weirdest possible way. Sorry, Creedmoor!

Motive: Punishment for Disobedience – Marmion’s always so quick to punish Creedmoor for every little perceived slight! Have fun with it.

Motive: To Demonstrate Aggressor's Power Over Victim – the Gun spirits are all so possessive of their Agents….

Penetration: Wound Fucking – Marmion can just heal right back up after!! Stop complaining, Creedmoor.

Religion: Aggressor Claims Xcon Will Provoke Deeper Spiritual Revelations -

Listen, John going for “son, brother, beloved” with the guy who mere minutes earlier admitted to betraying him came for me right where I lived and I don’t think I’ll ever recover. Their relationship is so very, very fucked up from every possible angle, and that is FANTASTIC, and I am totally here to read about every possible permutation of that fucked-upness.

Anyway I love John being tenderly, awfully manipulative and an Augustine that’s at least partly aware of what’s happening and yet never quite able to disentangle himself – like, this is god! And his friend! And also very definitely the guy personally responsible for the last 10 000 shitty, shitty years.

Also – canon being what it is – I am 110% okay with gore/violence/guro if you’re up for it.

Breathplay: Erotic Drowning – there is a capital-R River in the canon and since he’s a spirit magician I think it’d be very nice if John tried to drown Augustine in it. For, you know, necromantic science-y reasons.

Forced Incest Roleplay – listen...listen. John has his lyctors all calling each other "brother" and "sister" and he just right out calls Augustine his "son". God has an incest kink.

Intimacy: Falsely Gentle Threatening Touches – “God needs to be able to touch all of creation”, he said, like a totally normal person who didn’t wipe his best friends’ memories at least once

Intimacy: Forced to Sleep Beside Aggressor After Xcon – for whatever flimsy reason there is…only one bed on this spaceship/spacestation/wing of the cow-wall compound…….You bet John was well-aware of the Canadian shack trope, lmao.

So Sartauvoir met Basch over thirty years ago, with Basch sending soldiers to him to try and get him to join the IVth, and it was only when Basch himself went to pay one of the last Mageknights of Mannatheiwo a visit that he joined up – and even now that he’s dead Sartauvoir is STILL so loyal to him that he explicitly calls on Basch to watch over him on the Dalriada??! WHAT HAPPENED THERE. I would very much like to know.

…whatever it was I’d love for Basch to take full self-serving advantage of the intense loyalty this young mageknight just developed for him.

Abuse of Authority: Aggressor Takes Advantage of Subordinates – perks of the military hierarchy of the IVth? You’re not going to say no to your commander if you all love him, right…?

Setting: Ruins of Fort/Country/Planet Victim Failed To Protect – some location Basch tasked him with holding? a battlefield? Mannatheiwho?! Drive home the failure, however literally \o/
