Heyo, dear writer! :D

Thanks for checking out my letter, I hope it’ll be useful.

I’ve gone ahead and written some general things about each requested fandom/character (because when else am I going to get to ramble about my fave tiny canons if not now…) and also some prompts/general ideas for each – feel free to just ignore those if you’ve got other ideas, of course. I’ll be excited to read whatever it is you’re excited to write!! Also I love shipfic just as much as I love gen, and would be absolutely delighted with either for any of the fandoms I’ve requested. I’m also a super big fan of worldbuilding and honing all in on weird tiny little details, so if that appeals to you as well then please go for it!!

Find me elsewhere: AO3 | twitter

DNWs:

mundane AUs, unrequested crossovers, kidfic, pregnancy/mpreg, Omegaverse, permanent physical damage

General Likes:

worldbuilding, missing-scene type fic, unreliable narrators, banter, us against the world, moral conflicts, loyalty and abuse of said loyalty, moral ambiguity in general, pragmatic characters, people kicking ass together, dysfunctional/codependent relationships, unlikely allies, competence, horror (!), cosmic horror – the more grotesque and inhuman the better, action scenes and battles/fights, trust and trust issues, protectiveness, things getting destroyed in totally over-the-top-ways, ambiguous or downright unhappy endings

I also really, REALLY love fic that plays with its medium. House of Leaves and its weird typesetting was a formative influence for me, lmao, and I love when horror in the story interacts with horror in the medium. Interactive Fiction is also something I’d be super down for trying, if that’s what you’d like to go for.

General NSFW Likes:

body horror, blood, bruises, gore, fight sex, violence and injuries, xeno, size differences/size kink, aggressive/rough sex, abuse of authority/loyalty, power dynamics/power imbalances, possessiveness, terrible people having a great time, breathplay/choking, manhandling, stomach and/or throat bulges, somnophilia, dubcon/noncom in all its varying shades

The Nice House on the Lake
Norah Jakobs, Ryan Cane, Walter

This comic has been eating away at my brain for the last year and it hasn’t yet let go.

Walter is such a fun character—like, he loves his friends so much! This little alien dude who’s supposed to help end the world loves his friends so much that he saves them all from the apocalypse!! And then holy shit, it turns out that he actually kind of sucks at the whole being-a-friend business, at least on anything past a performative/manipulative level, and Norah and Ryan in particular end up having to bear so much of the brunt of the fallout from that. I LOVE IT. I loved how out it all played out in the end, too—Norah and Ryan working together, and then the reveal that Walter had been taking Norah’s memories because they’d been working together, too? Catnip. Pure catnip.

Feel free to mix and match these three as you’d like, I’m happy to read about them in solo fic, gen, or any and all ship combinations you can come up with :)

  • Walter loves all of his friends equally, but you do kind of get the sense that he loves Norah a bit more equally than the others. Norah herself seems to think that Walter’s in love with her, so: how did that happen, exactly? How did this alien fall for the squishy, horror-movie loving human he first met as a teen? Did Norah ever reciprocate those feelings? And how did their relationship develop and change as they grew up? By the end of the first cycle, they’ve looped back around to working together (again) to keep the others safe—how does that go, in the long run?
  • Norah was one of the first people to be genuinely nice and welcoming towards Ryan when she first arrived at the house, and then later on it’s Ryan who figures out that Norah is stuck in the glass, and BASICALLY what I’m saying is that I’d love to see more of these two interacting in any capacity. Maybe during a(nother) failed reboot on Walter’s part? After the first cycle? Or before, when they ran into each other for one single night on the fringes on one of Walter’s friend meetups? I just adore how well Norah and Ryan work together, and how they play off of each other—but actually, do they trust each other?
  • Ryan is our fish out of water, but I think it’s very interesting that it’s not her that Walter sequesters away on his second go at living in the house with his friends. Like, it’d have been easy enough and quite frankly have made more sense to kick her if he wanted to get Reg in, because they’re both artists, but . . . no. It’s Norah instead. So why does Walter decide to keep Ryan? What’s his whole opinion on their “how does the world end?” talks? Does he consider them friends at all, for all that he shuts her out in the second run? And what her take on all this?

Home Sick Pilots
Worldbuilding

I like ghosts piloting big mechas and I cannot lie.

No, honestly, the thing that made me grab the first volume of Home Sick Pilots was the fact that there was a giant house-mecha powered by ghosts walking around because it’s just such a fun idea. Then over the course of the next 300+ pages I fell in love with Meg and Ami and our two bands, and all the ghosts, and poor Juliette – there’s so much going on, and I thought it was so cool how it all came together in the end. (And then exploded.) The quiet malice of Old Man James and his house, the whole awful situation of Meg’s blood suit, all those angry ghosts powering the Nuclear Bastard—it was all so stylish! And fun! And also absolutely terrifying, with Old Man James getting more and more power until ALL the ghosts had to come together and team up to defeat him? SO GOOD. My favorite kind of happy-sad end.

...but also I’m really into all the ghosts and the giant walkers they can turn into/power.

  • What happens to all the ghosts that’ve been unleashed? Does anything change, like Meg and Ami and the others hoped it would? I’m super interested in anything about how the world deals with all of these American ghosts coming out into the open—what kinds of walkers did they all turn into? Anything from the kind of big-threat-ghosts we saw in canon with the Nuclear Bastards and Big Witch, to small-time hauntings that people now presumably just have to sort of live with (or do they?!) would be super fun!! Go wild! As you may have seen in my likes I’m a big fan of horror so absolutely feel free to go all in on that if it’s also your jam, haha.
  • Something pre-canon would be very interesting as well. You’ve got your whole pick from the original ghosts haunting the Old James House, and of course the old man and Juliette themselves – we saw bits of their stories scattered throughout the comic, but what about all the little things we didn’t get to see? The ghosts welcoming somebody new into their fold? Juliette and Old James first coming to as ghosts inside the house?? Etc…
  • Or other ghosts!! System Disrupt was trying to figure things out, the government had their fingers in the ghost business as well, /gestures vaguely at TFT, and there were other ghosts independent of the Old James House around too, so!! What other cool ghost stories are there to tell in this world?

Chained Echoes
Gwayn

Tiny little rpg of my heart <3 I love it so much: the incredible puns in the item names and descriptions (and how you even get different puns in English and German!!), the music, the characters…

Gwayn especially immediately caught my interest because, well, he shows up as just this funny little guy, and then it turns out he’s potentially kind of evil, and then it’s revealed that he stole the Grand Grimoire from the Vaen, and then you fight him and he’s hilariously casual about it while not being bothered by the team’s attacks in the slightest…and then you find out that Gwayn’s great goal in all of this, his endgame plan, is to die. Pass his powers as True King on so that the world isn’t absolutely fucked, sure, but he just wants to be done with everything. And that is fascinating.

I’d love any kind of look into the long, long life Gwayn’s led. What sort of adventures has he gotten up to in all that time?

  • HEIST TIME. How exactly did he go about stealing the Grand Grimoire from the Vaen? Did June help him? Did he do it on his own? Were there any run-ins with the Vaen during the whole thing (because they clearly know that he’s the one who stole the Grimoire), and how did those go?? Does Gwayn have a cool True King form he can transform into, or is it only the giant animal True Kings and the moon owl who get that?
  • Alliances! Betrayals! Apparently totally at-odds goals! Gwayn’s relationship with the Church of Leonar and Markas in particular is super interesting for what little we get to see of it ingame, and I’d be super interested in any kind of exploration of how exactly Gwayn began working with them. Because it seems like Gwayn is wholly aware that Markas’ splinter group is working for the Harbinger rather than against it, and that the Church is just kind of terrible in general, and yet he seems absolutely fine with working together with them and Markas, too, seems to trust him enough to have a go at the Vaen?! What is their history. What is going on!!
  • If you’re game, I’d love to see your take on Gwayn relationship with June. From the epilogue with Kylian it’s implied that she’s bound to the 8th True King in some manner by the Masked Man, but like…why? What’s up with that? Obviously by the time of the game rolls around Gwayn and June are very close, but how did they even make each other’s acquaintance in the first place? What was their time with each other like throughout the centuries? Tell me everything!
